The Uber story
What drives Uber, what its price assumes and what could change the story, written from its own filings.
- Rides still lead. In the quarter to June 2026, Mobility generated $2.2 billion of segment operating income, compared with $1.1 billion from Delivery and a Freight operating loss of $24 million.
- Cash supports expansion. Uber generated $2.8 billion of free cash flow in the quarter to June 2026, but acquisitions, financial investments, and share repurchases also draw on its resources.
- Delivery could change scale. The July 16, 2026 Delivery Hero agreement carries an equity value of $14.8 billion and would extend the combined platform to 99 markets.
